Thread count refers to the number of threads, both horizontal and vertical, in a one-inch square of fabric. Thread count is affected by a number of different factors, including ply and thickness of the threads that are used. The most common products where thread count is an issue are sheets. There are1000 thread count sheets, such as Egyptian cotton sheets that are available at most department stores. These sheets will cost a lot more because they are of a much higher quality.

Most of the online marketplaces now carry Egyptian cotton in a range of thread counts as well as colors. It is relatively easy to find a decent set of sheets, however, like most things, you will get what you pay for. A cheaper set of Egyptian cotton sheets will probably be made from a blend of fibers. These sheets will still be nice to use, but you won’t get the high quality and feeling that Egyptian cotton is known for. There is still no substitute for pure 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

We should follow these instructions carefully because manufacturers go through a lot of trouble making studies on the best way to take care of their products. Egyptian cotton sheet is considered a high quality sheet. It is breathable and light weight. It is also softer but surprisingly more durable that other types of cotton sheet.

Manufacturer’s instructions for Egyptian cotton sheet will generally allow machine washing on gentle cycle. The color of the fabric should determine what temperature you wash your fabric in. Darker bedding can be washed in warm water, whereas white sheets should be washed in cold. Whenever practical, hand washing is still the best option. It is best to do it with lukewarm water and very mild detergent.

When we aspire for luxury in bed sheets we think of Egyptian cotton sheets. They are not necessarily made in Egypt; they are made of cotton threads that are grown in Egypt. Egyptian cotton has qualities that make them the world’s finest cotton. The humid conditions and rich soil in Egypt along the Nile river banks create the perfect conditions to grow these natural fibers. This differentiates them from cotton grown from other regions.

The weather and soil condition in Egypt produce long cotton fibers. Their length can grow to as much as twice the size of other cotton fibers. These are spun into the finest yarn possible. They are made more durable and resistant to stress. They absorb more liquid making them the material to use in making luxury sheets.
