Do you wonder whether a newborn baby really needs a bib?  The child isn’t eating solid foobaby bibd, just drinking milk.  If some milk comes back up, you can mop up with a burp cloth.  Unfortunately, much of the excess milk soaks into the neck of the clothing and it can be nasty to get out.

A lot of extra laundry can be avoided by making use of an organic cotton baby bib. Bibs are very absorbent and much easier to change.  The organic cotton won’t chafe and irritate baby’s skin.  You can keep one round their neck to catch the spit-up, drool and little surprises and whip it off to show a cute outfit, perfectly preserved for company.  Mommy and baby both happy.

Apart from helping with landfill problems, organic cloth baby diapers will also rescue baby from chafing and diaper rash.  Fluffy, fleecy and soft, they are exceptionally absorbent.  Organic cloth diapersorganic cloth diapers dramatically out-perform their rivals.  They are especially good as liners in pocket diaper systems, because they provide protection against all irritations as they wick-away and absorb moisture.

Organic cloth diapers grow softer and fluffier with repeated washings.  Even in the hardest water, they will not stiffen.  Diaper rash is not something you want your baby to suffer through.  No matter what creams you use, they are bound to have some unwanted ingredient in them that baby’s skin will absorb.

baby toysUsually teething in your baby starts from month 6 and is the result of some inflammation, resulting in swelling of the gums.  While for some babies it does not appear to be a problem at all, other tots might find it quite painful.   Something cold will help to soothe the inflammed gums, such as one of the  organic cotton baby toys, soaked in water and then frozen.

There is usually a sequence in how babies get their teeth.  The lower incisors come in first, followed by the top incisors then the molars and canines follow.

The new designs of sleep bags available now will completely wrap your child and fit on them like a set of overall bibs. Their arms are going to be able to move around but their feet wilbaby sleeping bagl be kept within the sleep bag.  This will keep them from squirming or wriggling around too much.

There is no problem associated with allowing them to sleep in a sack type bag, because they can’t move around and get themselves wrapped up in a blanket or a nearby pillow. With their feet contained, they aren’t able to move enough to get anything like that accomplished. Be sure to choose the right fabric, as in organic infant clothing, on your next purchase for baby sleeping bags and you and your little one are going to be able to sleep a lot better. This is one of the areas where you really do get what you pay for.

When you’re buying a baby hat, keep comfort in mind. Try to find a hat that is made from a soft and washable material, such as organic cotton. As you know, babies have a way of dirtying everything so the easier it is for you to wash, the less work baby hatsyou’ll have to do. Cashmere is great for comfort but you’ll be spending a lot of time and money at the dry cleaners to maintain that type of hat. Not a good idea at all, really, as the cleaning will leave a residue of chemicals in the fabric and will transfer to the little head.

You can also look for hats with straps or ties to keep the hat on your baby’s head. Even if your baby is too young to take the hat off, they can still squirm around and before you know it, the hat is over his or her head face.  It is important that baby hats not be tight and putting pressure on the delicate bones of baby’s head.

organic cotton baby toysWhy should we consider buying our babies clothes and toys made from organic cotton? We investigate organic baby foods, such as rice and vegetables, as we get concerned about feeding our babies food containing too many chemicals. We also need to think as much about the benefits of buying baby clothes, bedding and toys made from organic rather than conventional cotton.

It is a fact that 25% of the world’s pesticides used have been sprayed on cotton. It takes a cup full of chemicals just to make one child’s t-shirt. According to the World Health Organisation 20,000 deaths occur in developing countries each year due to pesticide pollution.  Many of these deaths as a direct result of producing cotton. Research carried out by PAN UK suggests 3 million people suffer after effects of cotton production. Pesticides also damage the soil fertility, destroy wildlife and cause chronic disease both to the farmer and his family.  Organic cotton is the only way to go.

organic baby mattressWhen shopping for your newest family member’s nursery, one of the most overlooked items is the baby crib mattress. Be sure to consider comfort, support and safety when comparing mattresses. Your most likely choices for an organic baby mattress will be between a rubber or innerspring mattress.

Organic cotton innerspring and rubber mattresses are quite different. The innerspring mattress is heavier, much more complex and has more bounce to it. Remember that your baby crib mattress will be used for about a year, perhaps even longer if the crib can convert to a small bed.
