My husband and I recently came back from our honeymoon. The past few weeks had been a blast, and too perfect to even be considered as reality. We have been planning our wedding for almost a year, and I am quite happy everything had pulled off just like we wanted it to be. Now we are going back to reality and would need to start our life of forever. Going home to a new place is something I would have to get used to as well.

Our new place is not like my old and cramped apartment. Since we were still high from our vacation, I decided to make the atmosphere in the house as grand and elegant as possible. After all, we had all the fancy wedding gifts to make use of. In the bedroom, I laid out luxury sheets and pillows which were gifts from a friend of ours. We may no longer be on our honeymoon, but at least the mood in our bedroom feels just as luxurious and special for us to enjoy.

Larger Thread Count, the Better

I had my very first Egyptian cotton sheets last year. My husband and I were newly married and my parents-in-law gave it as a gift to us. It was one of the best gifts because it was indeed very comfortable to use. Imagine sleeping on clouds, it was that comfortable. I couldn’t part with it even when it’s time it wash it already.

But I recently discovered something new. My friend told me that if my sheet has a 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, which the one I currently have doesn’t have, it would be more comfortable. So I tried to buy one after saving up because it’s not that cheap. When we tried sleeping on it, it was true. The larger the thread count is, the more comfortable it becomes.

The Difference Is In the Fiber

As more and more people switch to Egyptian cotton bedding and never look back, skeptics wonder what makes that particular material so great. The easy answer is that Egyptian cotton bedding are just plain softer, but there’s a more detailed explanation as well. The secret has very little to do with thread count in finished garments and everything to do with the cotton fiber itself.
Egyptian-grown cotton has a naturally longer fiber than most other varieties, including those grown domestically. This lends increased strength and durability to sheets and other bedding. At first touch, brand-new 100 Egyptian cotton sheets feel slightly coarse. A few trips through the laundry machine turn them feathery soft and imminently comfortable.

It is back to reality, after months of being ecstatic to planning the wedding, to the wedding that was truly beautiful, and finally to the wonderful honeymoon my husband and I shared. It was one hell of an adventure, and I am happy to have finally tied the knot with the man I love. Now we are off to our home, and the post-wedding bliss begins. In a few more days we have to get back to work, but before that we have to fix our things and organize what we have left before we flew off for our honeymoon.

We opened boxes upon boxes of gifts from family and friends, most of which were the ones we picked out for our bridal registry. It was a matter of opening everything and storing them on each of their assigned places in the house. One of the things we got were 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets from a friend of mine, which she knew I absolutely love. Since I hardly get to have enough hours for sleep because of my work, I am one of those who would want to make the most of the time I get to catch some sleep. I could not wait to use them, and I know once I get on back to work these things would be put to good use when I come home tired and stressed. It is now back to reality!

You will never go wrong with cotton when it comes to beddings. Its most appealing quality is its breathability. It can best be appreciated on balmy summer nights when we tend to sweat without air conditioning. Using 100% Egyptian cotton sheets will make us feel cooler. Sweat is easily absorbed providing a comfortable feeling of dryness.

The thing is this kind of weather condition will require frequent washing of beddings. That is another advantage of cotton. They are easy to wash and they will dry fast. When using 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, you can be assured of durability. You can wash as often as you need to and your bedding will retain its softness and satin-like feel.

Girly Sheets

I have two daughters and they share the same room but they do have separate beds. They are still young and I am thankful that I am still not in the stage wherein they would demand for their own rooms. We would be able to buy a bigger house after a few years more and I hope that they could still wait for it. But I am not really worried just yet because they are aged four and six.

Anyway, to keep them happy and contented with their room, I always make sure that they have everything that they need. Plus I buy everything equally. When I go to the all and purchase girls bed sheets, I make sure they have the same design. This way, I eliminate jealousy because they are always equal.

When buying things for your bedroom, one of the most important things you must consider is the bed and the accessories itself in terms of function and comfortability. The bed is the very thing that gives you that safe and sound sleep, free from worries and the stresses of the world outside. Nobody wants to come home to a bed as hard as stone, with sheets that are rough as sandpaper. It’s like not really providing the purpose of having a good sleep in your bedroom.

For good night’s sleep for days on end, getting the finest cotton organic sheets is one of the ways by which the owner can relax to a comfortable sleeping space. The quality of your bed and the accessories that go with it very much affects the quality of your sleep. Creating a great space for a great sleep is the way to go. Otherwise, one might as well sleep on the floor.

Comfortable Nights

I have been experimenting on a lot of bed sheets since I started going to college. Since I was already living alone, those kinds of decisions wherein my mother used to make already fell on my hands. It was really such a mature thing to do for me but aside from that, I have been doing it because I really wanted sheets that would make me sleep like a baby at night. A lot of friends suggested that I buy those high-end sheets but of course they all know I don’t have the money.

Through years of experimentation, I have to agree that cotton sheets are the best! They are very soft and they would make you feel like you are sleeping in a hotel. For a student who studies all day and still has a part time job, it is very rewarding to come home to such comfort. My experimentation ended when I was introduced to those sheets and they are really the best!

My husband and I are both new advocates of the eco-wellness programs that have been introduced in our community lately. We are now aware that contributing to the destruction of nature will not help us at all, and even our future children. That’s why lately; I have been finding ways to lessen our carbon footprint. I have started organic fertilizers from our leftover food and other biodegradable trash and of course, recycling.

But my latest discovery is the use of organic cotton sheets. These are sheets that are made from organic cotton. No pesticides and other harsh chemicals are used when making these kinds of sheets. Also, if you have allergies, these are the best sheets for you to use. Lastly, they are also very soft and you will feel like you are sleeping on clouds while lying in bed!

Joining the Bandwagon

There is an on-going trend on bed sheets these days and a lot of my friends have joined the bandwagon of people who are buying the latest in bed sheets and covers. I am a homemaker and I really do want the best for my family and our home. Though, sometimes, I am wary of trends because they can only become fads that come and go. I don’t like to spend my husband’s hard-earned money on something that would really not benefit us in the end.

But something about these bed sheets have really caught my attention. Aside from the fact that they are trending, we really do need new sheets for our beds. So one day, I went to the mall and asked around about the latest Egyptian cotton 1500 thread count sheets that my friends have been raving about. I learned that they are made from one of the highest quality cotton in the market and they are really soft, like sleeping on clouds as they put it. I saw one store selling them on sale and I bought one. When my husband and I slept on it for the first time, he told me to buy more. It’s been the first time I’m glad to join the bandwagon.
