Buying a Moses basket, or bassinet, for you new baby will allow you to keep them safe and secure at the same time as keeping them nearby.  This is a great benefit for making sure they are not disturbed by other children or animals in the house.  You will also hear immediately if they get into any distress.

It’s never a good idea to leave baby alone in a room when the baby bassinet is in a rocking position.  It could easily tip.  Only move the basket when it is empty.  Pick baby up first and then move it.  Also a good practice is to use the mattress pad provided by the manufacturer to prevent suffocation.  Use only the organic bassinet sheets made for you particular bassinet model.
