Egyptian cotton sheets are considered the standard when it comes to high quality bedding. These sheets are referred to as the “king of all cottons” due to its luxurious feel as well as its durability. Egyptian cotton is a very breathable fabric, and an Egyptian cotton sheet will resist piling, as the cotton plants that are used to make it do not produce a lot of lint. Even though new Egyptian cotton sheets may start out a little coarse, they will become softer with each succeeding washing.

Egyptian cotton sheets are highly considered to be some of the finest sheets available. Because they can be made with very high thread counts, usually around a thousand threads per inch, they tend to sell for prices much higher than regular cotton sheets. It is common to pay well over $100 US dollars for an Egyptian cotton sheet set. The high price will be worth it in the long run because of the durability of these sheets. You can expect these sheets to last forty to fifty years, or even more.

Cotton may be made of Egyptian fiber. Cotton may be organically grown. It can be made of organically grown Egyptian fiber. This is the kind of material that Egyptian cotton sheet sets are made of. The long threads insure durability. It will not disintegrate easily.

Egyptian cotton sheets gained wide acceptance for this reason. Not only are the fibers longer, they are also stronger. This makes the fabric more solid and resistant to stress. It is a very absorbent material making it accept deeper, brighter and more resistant colors. No wonder Egyptian cotton sheet sets are very attractive.

It’s the Same

During one conference in Los Angeles, one of the activities our company organized was a trip around the filthy rich area of Beverly Hills. Being from New York, of course the sizes of the houses there seem very massive to me. They probably have thousands of square feet of living space there whereas I have about four hundred square feet in the city.

But I’m sure the rich of Beverly Hills and the rich of New York City have it the same. Their cars are Jaguars and Bentleys and their beddings are 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. Actually the ones who own the pretty houses in Beverly Hills also own the equally fabulous houses in Park Avenue. Told you, it’s the same.
