Pillows are important for us to enjoy a relaxing sleep so we can rejuvenate our bodies. The kind of pillow that we use (based on the stuffing) has a lot to do with how we can have a good night’s sleep. Aside from the usual materials commonly used in stuffing pillows there are a few that we might want to learn more about. There is synthetic down feather made from polyester fibers that are manufactured to mimic the feel of down in softness and loftiness. It is used as alternative to real down feather by people who are allergic to feathers. For the same reason, Syriaca fibers are mixed with a lesser percentage of real down to provide the feel of down.

Natural plants are also being used as pillow stuffing. One example is hemp made from cannabis plant. The rough fibers are treated to make it a more comfortable stuffing. Another example is buckwheat hull. It is highly praised for being 100% natural, environmentally friendly and ergonomic.
